The flisvos of hair
pepperbright
against the curve of a cheek

a blink that fans a tornado over
heads and words and coils of dry ice
slim hips twitching with the plucked bass

dustings of blush and
thin lines applied blotchless
by a practiced hand

i sniff the scent for men and women
sharp fresh sexless
like blizzard spray

the cloth pulls tight against the crotch
in the instant of confusion and recognition
i reel

My mind grinds into a new gear
stalls
restarts


and i recognize (with self loathing) this dysfunction
in the people who
reassure themselves

by coating beautiful teeth with blood
